I'm Pranav, a graphics engineer based in Los Angeles with a parallel practice in photography. My background is technical, and I spend a lot of time with the derivations behind how light, form, and color resolve into an image. That attention carries over into how I see the world outside the screen. I work across whatever's in reach: half-frame film, disposables, phone, the DSLR I borrowed through my undergrad minor. The medium matters less to me than what's in front of it.
My process tends to swing between two modes. Most of the time I'm out shooting widely and laying things down afterward to see what coheres, throwing spaghetti at the wall, more or less. Other times I've followed a specific vision through to a finished piece, like my album Moods Through Music. Lately I've been drawn to motifs of identity and belonging, particularly how they shift between social and isolated settings, and it's a thread I'd like to pursue more deliberately in future work.
This portfolio is a place to share what I've been making and thinking about. I'm always open to conversations about the work, the ideas behind it, or projects worth exploring together.
